Our First Boat Ride!

Well, maybe not the first, but our first with the Yamaha 25HP Outboard Motor on the Avon.  The boys and I spent the last two days learning how to de-winterize the motor. It has been in storage for over 6 years, maybe upwards of 12 years  - the last time we remember using the boat was in North Bend, Oregon Sturgeon fishing under the North Bend Bridge just before Nathan was born.

So – We have our Boat fixed, the License up to date, the Boater Education Cards, new Life Jackets and the Outboard Motor de-winterized – and off we go!

Here’s a Photo Journey!

Now to remember how to start it up exactly  . .

IMG_3772Jon’s big request was to be able to drive the boat to the park.

This is where they let the Beaver go, on the South East side of the Lake.

I think we’ve felt the wind that twisted this poor tree.

This is our nook of the Lake, the Northern most East wing.
